Long Island’s MEDICINAL brings together four stalwarts of the hardcore underground for their second full-length LP, Buildings Abandoned. The band features members of KILL YOUR IDOLS, C.R., DEATHCYCLE, DEATH CERTIFICATE, GOSPEL, HELEN OF TROY, THE SUPERVOID CHORAL ENSEMBLE, EGGPLANT QUEENS, BABY TEETH, and FAKE PISS. Formed in 2022, MEDICINAL quickly established themselves as purveyors of brutally honest hardcore, combining punishing string schematics with furiously unhinged poetic lyricism that cuts through the noise. Buildings Abandoned was recorded at My Low Studio in Bellmore, New York between 2024 and 2025, mixed by Ben Sharp in Columbus, and mastered by Collin Jordan at Chicago’s Boiler Room.
